Simon Simon
is a 9 year old Swedish Warmblood gelding. He was sent to UAWR due to an
arthritic condition in his neck. We are so pleases to have Simon here with
us as he is just the neatest guy you ever met. What a great personality he
has! Simon is a Sanctuary Resident which means he will stay here with us
for the rest of him life living it up and being spoiled. Simon is in NEED
of a SPONSOR so please consider sponsoring Simon to help with all his
needs. Cayman Cayman
is an OTTB he has certainly paid his dues and has several
different issues at this time. The first thing you notice about Cayman is
his ears they just are not quite right. After inspection by our vet it has
been determined that at one point in his life he must have lived where it
was very cold he his sustained Frost Bite to his ears. They are thick with
scar tissue and very interesting to look at. We don't mention his ears to
him though as he is a bit self conscious of them. He has also seen the
Chiropractor several times and needs several adjustments and now he is
under going massage therapy in order to also help his neck. Cayman is a
Sanctuary Resident and is in NEED of a SPONSOR so please consider
sponsoring Cayman to help with all his needs. TJ TJ
is a beautiful 9 year old Paint mare who was purchased at Mike's Auction
several years ago by our President and Founder Courtney Hobson. When she
saw this mare and just knew she had been drugged in order for her to
ride thru the auction sound Courtney could not bare to think of the future
of this mare if someone else purchased her and realized all the problems
they were in for. There was a good chance she would end up right back at
that auction and eventually on her way to slaughter. Sure enough the next
morning after the dust had settled and the drugs wore off poor little TJ
was so lame she was just about walking on 3 legs. TJ was immediately taken
to thevet and Courtney's suspicious were proven correct that she had
foundered at some point in the past. What no one expected was the fact
that she had an 18 degree rotation and a broken coffin bone. What a shame
essentially this gave her the prognosis of forever being a pasture pet
only. We all love TJ and she will remain here in sanctuary for the rest of
her life just being a horse. TJ is in NEED of a SPONSOR to help with her
care at UAWR. Ray Ray
is a 15 year old Quarter Horse gelding. He is an ex-roping horse who was
quite successful in his career. He is not retired due to navicular. He is
in rehab here at UAWR and we will continue his rehab. We are in need of
donations to help purchase an herbal supplement that we have used
previously on navicular horses with great success the cost is $60.00 per
month and he would need to be in the supplement for 6 month but this
should relieve alot of his pain.
