ACTHA sanctions Competitive Trail Challenges all across the USA - easy going six to ten mile rides with a few obstacles mixed in to test your horse communication skills. Riders and horses are judged as they tackle each obstacle. You can win fistfuls of ACTHA Bucks and other first-rate prizes on ride day - And you can pile up ACTHA points for you and your horse toward, $50, 000 in Year End National and Regional Awards and cash! Bring your fiddle or guitar and help everybody carry a tune. Hot dogs and smore's are gonna be on the BBQ ($3.00), by golly!

If Saturday morning wets your whistle better, that's okay too. Just don't be late for breakfast. At 8:00 am UAWR will be cooking up some Breakfast Burritos, Muffins, Coffee and Orange Juice ($5.00) Ride briefin' at 9am - Ride out at 10am.

Courtney has mapped out 6 miles of trail, all around, that'll show you the finest sights of Phelan's Desert complete with 6 obstacles rangin' in difficulty from, "Yeah that's not so tough." To, "Holy Cow, how am I supposed to do that?"

When you ride back into camp, tend your horse then hustle back to the Main Camp for a Tummy Ticklin Lunch ($6.00), and brag about your fine horse while you wait on the judges to hand out the cash and prizes. Speakin' of prizes, you can sign up for the Open Class Jackpot or Pleasure Class Jackpot, if you think you're good enough. And if you dress real fine you might win the Best Dressed Gal or Guy award. Your horse could win a special prize for Best Groomed horse, too! There's even an award for Best Dog!

After the Awards, there will be an afternoon of relaxation and good conversation! Then head back to the Main Camp for an Awesome authentic Mexican dinner of Carne Asada or Chicken Tacos they are the best you can get!
